VIDEOGRAPHY > Treasure Island
Penarth Operatic and Dramatic Society is a local amateur theatre group,, founded in 1924. In 2023, a year prior to their centurial year, they presented a stage play of Ken Ludwig's adaptation of 'Treasure Island' at the Paget Rooms, Penarth.

Matthew Lee was cast as Ben Gunn, but during rehearsals, he was offered a voluntary chore of producing rehearsal photos and present some promotional materials for the show.

Rehearsal Photography
This was the first time Matthew Lee decided to try out for stills photography for a stage production. Most of his photos and videos, taken during rehearsals, was used to promote the show as well as keep updates on the society's social media page.

Promotional Videos
"The Radio Concept Teaser"
The director, Jay Excell had a radio interview with Radio Cardiff and the Wynne Evans Show to promote the show. A small audio teaser was presented on radio which included a script segment.

As a starter of the promotional materials, Matthew took the radio segment and produced a visual concept teaser of the teaser.
"Rehearsal Featurette" (2023)
As the production week got closer, Matthew used for the rehearsal clips he captured and edited them together to make a featurette video. Featuring character lines of dialogue from the respective actors and interviews from a few of the cast members - special thanks to Charlotte Rees.
